Great tips. This will definitely help me. I want to remind people to use their common sense when retrieving a stolen or missing tablet. A friend of mine lost his ability to see from his right eye while attemping to retrieve a stolen cell phone. He was attacked and hit in the head with a metal pipe. He was hospitalized for almost two months. It would probably be safer NOT to do something like that alone or maybe get the police involved.

I'm catching some of what you're putting out, but dang, you are too fast
I got mine last week. A new experience after iPad. The hardware is great. The software not so. Android for tablets seems to be the same as for phones and way behind my previous iPad iOS gen 6, 4 years old. Protection against pop ups and other unwanted distractions is poor, and also way worse than the iPad. The worst was that I subscribed to a Google account and also to a Samsung account. Disaster ! Now you get the pops and ads from 2 sides and the Samsung side is deliriously aggressive. While working on settings, or anywhere, your full screen will be taken over by screaming ads from FB, stupid games or some internet shop. This interrupts your screen every 8 minutes or so. So I was left with an unusable tablet, only to find that I could not do a factory reset. The indications given do simply not work as they do not delete the Samsung account ( only sign out ) which is the major culprit of the misery. Unfortunately I bought this in a brick and mortar shop, so I cannot send it back as with an online store. I ended up in a Samsung CS center who was unwilling, as the reset proved to be a big job, even for them, and created a long line of waiting customers. In the end the reset was done. I am typing this comment on my old iPad facing my new again S8. Tomorrow I will restart from zero, and see how it goes without a Samsung account. Updates to come.
I liked. Mine until today got it to watch you tube now it spins and spins taking forever. What's the deal. Igot the 8 after liking the 7. Now i may send it back. 7 works much better dispointed. Worked fine awhile. Now takes minutes to load videos
