Lisa Gade reviews Samsung’s 2017 Android flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S3 with S Pen. The tablet runs Android 7.0 Nougat with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on the 2.15 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. The Tab S3 has a 9.7” Super AMOLED display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and 2048 x 1536 resolution.
– The general review is covered in the first 10 minutes. Watch that then skip to the end if you’re not interested in the S Pen features.
– 10:28 begins S Pen review for note taking and with art programs for artists.
The S Pen is included in the box- a Wacom EMR pen with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. An optional keyboard case is available for $130. The Tab S3 has a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and a GPS. At launch there’s no model with cellular, but that will likely come in the future. It sells for $599.

Great tablet for basically everything. https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS I bought it specifically for art, and that 4k screen is really fantastic for it! Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects! You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though! One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!
I'm watching this on a tab s3 😂
You are indeed the best reviewer of all times
got this for my mom. Right after a year it won't turn on anymore.
Now I see why Samsung pushes selling extended warranty.
I'm done.
Why is there a phone number for the tablet,,but it can't be used to make calls?.
Another app for art is Infinite Painter
This is overall my favorite item to use JustU.Faith/Glaxy_TabS Couple it with a stand so you can watch movies and its perfect. Its touch sensitivity and high clarity makes it easy to forget you're on a tablet. I honestly watch movies plenty on this and the s-pen works very well for writing or drawing on my free time.
Your hands are bloody huge
Does the pen work with the Tab A
This s3 can be connect to tv?
The fingerprint scanner is terrible, hopefully it has been updated.
Did you review the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 released in 2018? If not, is there any particular reason why you didn't review it?
If you did review it l, I can't find it. Can you respond with a link to your review? Thx
Any chance we could see a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 vs Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 video?
Hi Lisa I know it's a little bit old how much do you think a Tab s 3 is now
What about the tab S4?
الله يلعن الايفون غالي عالفاضي سامسونج احسن نوع اجهزا
Lisa is a brilliant reviewer

Anyone who knows if this is any good for drawing and such???
Thanks for your review!
Oooohhhhh… If i can afford this one. For art or animation material. :3
Tab S4 review coming soon?
Should I buy this or Chromebook Plus? They're both about the same price.
Hello Lisa, can we expect the new TAB S4 Review with DEX? It would be great, i am on the hunt for some travel multitasking device and cant deside between 2in1 small notebook, android tablet with DEX, or NOTE 9 🙁
Hello, I really enjoyed your review and am considering getting this tablet. I just wanted to know how laggy it gets after using awhile, comparing to the ipad 2018 version. I know some android devices tend to get laggy in the long run
thanks
I don't why Samsung don't put the S-pen in the device like the old ones; keeps you from not losing it. I have note 8 tablet, and I still have my stylus because I always put it back in the device. I think they want people to lose it, so they can make more money!
Tablets are a little confusing, I personally like the smaller 8 inch or even the 7 inch when they had the 16:9 ratio. I don't like the square screen. I like the rectangle screen much better. I mean, our phones are rectangle and our TV are rectangle for a reason, it looks better to our eyes. Look at the S8 line of phones, they even thinned them out more and made them more rectangular.
Its awkward to hold a square tablet even with a case. Getting a keypad for these tablets also seems absurd to me. why not just buy a thin laptop then? The point of a tablet is mobility and portability right? I want to be able to hold a tablet comfortably to watch shows and play games. I think that's what they are really for. So the squared off screen with the 4:3 ratio is off to me. look at the video on the 4:3 ratio, they cut off the top and bottom of the screen. Its wasted screen real estate. the 16:9 looks much better as it uses all of the screen. If they kept that ratio with the nice resolution and upgrades, I would definetly want a newer Samsung tablet.
Just my opinion.
Netflix was one of the first apps to support it
Lisa…you do the best reviews!
Try picsart app its great for designing
I am hoping the new one is good . I know the new iPad will be ludicrously expensive and have ridiculous limitations .Plus Android actually works as a small laptop replacement .
This, like the iPad Pro, could be a viable computer replacement for the most basic of users. Then again, app selection (tablet-optimised apps) is limited at best.
I have an ipad air. I have been considering the new ipad with pencil support for $329 and another $100 for the pencil. My concern is how well do these tablets hold up? My ipad has been holding up well and im opened to trying something different , im just concerned about the quality. Any advice would be appreciated
does this tablet come with Inkredible Pro?
I like tab s2. Enjoying it so much. I like the plastic back.
You should try Artflow! It's my fav art app on my Note 3 phone. Easy interface, great brush and layer options similar to Photoshop. 💕
That said, been loving your reviews! I am in the market for a mobile sketch device. This one I want for web browing and sketching…but I also want a Samsung Notebook 9 pro for a full laptop. Love that S-pen. Really want that 13.3" pen one but you said it gets hot so that kinda worries me.
Excellent analysis!
I want the S3, but there are at least two very stupid changes on it. 1. The glass back. There is absolutely no need for that. 2. No S pen slot.
